How to find your iPhone model number

A short guide to help you find the model number for your iPhone.
  1. Check the Settings:

    • Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
    • Scroll down and tap on "General."
    • Tap on "About."
    • Look for the "Model" entry. The model number of your iPhone should be listed next to it.
  2. Check the Back of the iPhone:

    • Flip your iPhone over and look at the back.
    • Near the bottom, you should see some text. The model number is typically printed here.
    • The model number is usually in small print and might be preceded by the letter "A." For example, "Model A1234."
  3. Check the SIM Tray:

    • For some iPhone models, you can find the model number on the SIM tray.
    • Use the SIM eject tool (or a paperclip) to eject the SIM tray from the side of your iPhone.
    • On the tray itself or inside the SIM card slot, you might find the model number.
  4. Check the Original Packaging:

    • If you have the original box that your iPhone came in, check it for a label or sticker that displays the model number.
    • The model number is usually printed on the back or side of the box.
  5. Check the Settings (Alternative Method):

    • If you couldn't find the model number in the "About" section of the Settings app, you can try a different method.
    • Go to Settings > General > Regulatory.
    • Look for the "Model Number" entry. The model number should be listed here.
  6. Check the Device's Exterior:

    • In some cases, the model number might be printed on the back or bottom of the iPhone itself, near the regulatory markings.
    • Look for any text or labels that contain the model number.

By following these steps, you should be able to locate the model number of your iPhone easily.
